The pallet and packaging business group transport manager Alastair Burns said a fleet review identified the potential for better returns, with trials showing fuel performance increased from 9.5mpg to 11.6mpg.
He said he was confident there would be savings on fuel consumption and a reduction in the firms carbon footprint.
The vehicles were supplied by dealer JDS Trucks.
