French fry giant J.R. Simplot Co. has entered the guacamole business.
Boise, Idaho-based Simplots Culinary Fresh line features four guacamole and avocado pulp packs, according to the companys website.
Simplot officials would not comment on the products.
The companys high-pressure cold pasteurization process eliminates spoiling agents without the need for artificial preservatives or citric acid in the packs.
All four products in the line come in 2-pound containers packed six to a case.
