C&S Wholesale Grocers Gets $3.6M Aid for N.Y. Warehouse

CS Wholesale Grocers was awarded $3.6 million in development aid by the state of New York to build a new automated warehouse facility on Long Island.

The grant was among $716 million in state aid announced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo Wednesday. The $130 million proposed facility, to be built in Suffolk County, would employ 400, according to the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council, and would mark the return of CS to Long Island.

CS several years ago closed its warehouse in Central Islip,
