Aktiv Discount changes name to Edeka

The name of German discounter 'Aktiv Discount' will disappear. From December smaller branches will be called 'Edeka' and the larger branches 'E-Center'. The change to the Edeka format is the final step towards integration of the Aktiv discounters, explained Andreas Laubig, spokesman for Edeka Minden-Hannover.
