Mller Wiseman Dairies, a Scottish milk supplier and distributor, has commenced production at its 17m butter plant in Market Drayton, UK.
The plant is set to be formally opened in early December. It will annually produce up to 45,000 tons of butter using 90,000 tons of cream generated from yogurt and chilled dessert production each year.
Mller UK Ireland CEO Ronald Kers said, Butter imports into the UK were above 100,000 tonnes last year.
