Peruvian agricultural exports to Korea could increase by 43% this year

Peruvian agricultural exports to Korea amounted to $ 31 million dollars in 2012. They are expected to increase by 43% this year due to the Korean consumers high demand for asparagus, mangoes, grapes and purple corn. The latter has only been sold for the last year in the Korea.

Ruy Bo Won, strategy manager of the Korean Trade Office (KOTRA) in Peru, indicated that Peruvian grape shipments to Korea had increased by 150 % and that the mango is expected to increase by 86 % and the asparagus by 130%
