Russian fruit and vegetable import increases by 10% in first six months

The Russian import of fresh fruit and vegetables increased by around 10% in the first six months of this year. The import of fresh vegetables from Holland even grew by 14%, but the import of fresh fruit from Holland plummeted for the second year running. On a yearly basis (2012) the Russian import is worth 6 billion Euro, of which 4.4 billion fresh fruit and 1.6 billion fresh vegetables.
