Retail sales fall in Mexico

The National Association of Supermarkets and Department Stores (ANTAD) announced that their partners' equal sales- sales in stores with more than a year of operation- fell 3.2 % in September, an unfavourable turn compared with the 8.8% rise recorded in the same month of 2012.

This result was due to the short supply in several states of Mexico as a result of the effects of two hurricanes that occurred in mid-September. Additionally, there was one Saturday less this year than in 2012 in this peri
