Called The Wine Shop, the grocers upcoming web-based store will list 200 new wines in addition to 300 of the supermarkets current Extra Special and branded lines.
Similar to Tesco, which allows customers to buy wine in any quantity with their groceries at Tesco.com, or shop from a larger range of wines at Tesco Wine by the Case, Asda will retain its wine offer on asda.com and use The Wine Shop for a broader range of wines sold in quantities of six bottles or more.
