Due to its difficulties in the consumer products division, food group Glanbia have started a redundancy programme.
John Moloney [pictured], outgoing managing director, stated last month that the consumer products division experienced a difficult first half of the year.Glanbia had to deal with the rise in market share by private label products, at the expense of branded products.
The food group has a total staff of 2,000 people in the country. 650 of those work in the consumer products division
