Choithram & Sons buys Trigon out of administration

Trigon, the manufacturer of the Big D and Planters peanut brands, was placed into the hands of David Whitehouse and Steven Muncaster of global financial advisory and investment banking firm Duff Phelps on September 10.

Financial advisory and investment bankingfirm Duff Phelps, which managed the administrationprocess, claimed the deal had saved 110 jobs at the nuts and snacks firm, which is based at Aintree in Liverpool.

The value of the transaction remains undisclosed.
