What you should do
Clean, separate, cook and chill! Follow these four food safety steps when preparing your turkey and you can help reduce the risk of getting sick from undercooked turkey and stuffing, and from cross-contamination.

Clean

Wash your hands carefully with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds before and after handling raw poultry.
Clean and sanitize the sink, surfaces and kitchen utensils touched by raw or thawing turkey and its juices.

Separate

Store your turkey in a leak
