Russia rejects 19 tons of Moldovan plums

130 tons of grapes originating from Moldova and Turkey have been rejected amidst high levels of pesticides and nitrates.

Experts see this move as a way to punish the Eastern European country for its strong commitment toward the European Union in the process of aligning its legislation to the EU standards.

Moldova seeks to initial an Association Agreement with the European Union in November 2013. Once the Agreement is ratified and signed, Moldova will be able to freely export any products to t
