Mango price remains strong as supply increases

Mr Cope says the mango season is off to slow start and strong prices are likely to stay around for a couple of weeks.

The Territory is expecting a smaller mango crop this year.

The crop forecast predicted a crop of between three million and 3.5 million trays, down from over four million in 2012. However, that forecast may be reduced again, after reports of fruit drop in the major growing region of Katherine.
