Exports of Argentine pears and apples increase

The slowdown in the growth of global production and the increased demand from Asia favoured both of these Argentine fruits.

The export of apples and pears recovers some of the volume it lost in 2012, when it fell to a minimum in the last decade, and also managed its highest level ever up until July this year.




According to Senasa, up to July, 129,000 tonnes of apples were sold abroad, 18.3% more than in the same period in 2012, when sales had fallen by 41% from the previous year and only 109
