Scoular announces phospholipid-based omega-3 oil

The Scoular Company has announced plans to release a new functional ingredient known as Romega. The Ingredient, released in collaboration with Arctic Nutrition of Norway, is a DHA-rich, phospholipid-based omega-3 oil made from herring caviar. Additional products are made from the rest of the fish.

The herring caviar used to make the ingredient is sourced from MSC-ceritifed fisheries in the Norwegian Sea. Romega is billed as providing a potent amount of omega-3 in phospholipid form.
