Australian dairy co-operative Murray Goulburn plans cut down 72 positions across its processing facilities, in an effort to efficiency, productivity and cost competitiveness.
The reductions will include 38 positions at Cobram; 15 at Leongatha; 8 at Kiewa; 4 at Edith Creek; 4 at Rochester; and 3 at Koroit. The job cuts will be made in the late September to early October period.
The co-operative noted that it has tried to minimise the impact on the workforce by looking first to natural attrition
