Bachmller, currently CEO of German firm Katjes Fassin, succeeds Didier Focking from Nestl on a two-year mandate starting 22 June this year.
Bachmller is a lawyer who began is food industry carrer in 1992 as director marketing chocolate for Kraft Foods, Bremen.
He left Kraft Foods in 1996 to join Katjes Fassin.
Bachmller is also Vice-president of the Bundersverband der Deutschen Swarenindustrie (BDSI), the German Confectionery Association.
CAOBISCO also elected two new Vice-Presidents: Mr P
