U.S. 2013, 2014 sugar carryover raised from July

with 19.6% as the 2012-13 ratio, which was up from 18.8% in July.

Projected U.S. sugar supply for fiscal year 2013-14 is increased slightly from last month, as higher beginning stocks and imports are nearly offset by lower production, the U.S.D.A. said. The decline in production is due to lower forecast sugar beet and sugar cane yields, compared with last months trend-based projections.
