Carrefour is to bring its discount and cash carry hybrid, Supeco, to Romania.
While the French retailer already operates a range of formats in Romania, including supermarkets, hypermarkets and convenience stores, the introduction of the chain signals a significant strategy shift in the region.
Supeco, which was launched in Spain earlier this year, caters to professional and household customers, offering a strong focus on value. Monica Coliu, formerly private label manager for Carrefour Romani
