Brunei announces ban on tainted Fonterra dairy products

Brunei's Ministry of Health Tuesday informed importers, retailers and the public of the recall as well as the ban on the import, distribution and sale of milk products by Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited from New Zealand.

The baby milk products found to contain a strain of bacteria causing botulism have been recalled in many countries, including China, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.

The products include Nutricia Karicare Infant Formula Stage 1 for newborn babies up
