Starbucks selects Google to upgrade Wi-Fi in 7,000 US stores

Starbucks Coffee has chosen Google to provide the next generation of its Wi-Fi offering at more than 7,000 company-operated stores across the US starting from August 2013.

Level 3 Communications, an international telecommunications company, will help Starbucks and Google to bring faster Wi-Fi connectivity over the next 18 months.

Under the partnership, Level 3 will manage in-store connectivity and upgrade existing Wi-Fi devices at Starbucks stores.
