Mexican cucumbers recalled from US in salmonella outbreak

Mexican cucumbers imported into the US have been recalled after a salmonella outbreak affected 73 people across 18 states.

Two companies have recalled their produce, Daniel Cardenas Izabal and Miracle Greenhouse of Culiacan, Mexico. The cucumbers in question were distributed by Tricar Sales Inc. of Rio Rico, Arizona.

The companies will have to demonstrate that their cucumbers are disease free before re-gaining access to the US market place.
