Tesco is to build a 5 million eco version of its Metro banner in Farringdon, London. The 23,000 sq. ft eco-friendly store will be constructed with a sustainable timber frame and timber cladding and will feature large translucent roof panels to allow natural light to enter the building.
The retailer is also planning to install a rainwater harvesting system to recycle rainwater for use within the store. The store is expected to open in November.
