Byrne Dairy to invest $32m in DeWitt Ultra Dairy plant

US-based Byrne Dairy is set to invest $32m in its Ultra Dairy plant in DeWitt, New York to meet the growing demand for its ultra-pasteurized dairy products.

Of the total investment, $14m will be invested in new equipment in 2013 followed by $18m investment in adding 100,000ft production space in 2014.

Ultra Dairy produces coffee creamers, milk and other dairy products using the ultra-high-temperature pasteurization process. The products come with a shelf life of 120 days.
