Dry whey prices averaged 57.4c per lb for the week ended May 25, marginally higher than the previous week, the U.S.D.A. said. Sales were slightly higher than a month ago at about 9.2 million lbs.
Nonfat dry milk averaged $1.66 per lb for the week ended May 25, an increase of 2.2c from the previous week. Weekly sales compared to a month ago declined 24%, the U.S.D.A. said.
