Nicotine contained food may reduce the risk of Parkinson's

Eating fod containing even a little nicotine, such as peppers and tomatoes, may reduce the risk of developing Parkinsons disease, U.S. researchers say.

Dr. Susan Searles Nielsen and colleagues at the University of Washington in Seattle recruited 490 patients newly diagnosed with Parkinsons disease at the universitys Neurology Clinic or a regional health maintenance organization, Group Health Cooperative. Another 644 unrelated individuals without neurological conditions were used as controls.
