For the 12-week second quarter that ended April 14, Whole Foods said net income rose 20.3% to $142 million, while sales increased 13.3% to $3 billion and identical-store sales were up 6.6%. For the 28-week first half net income rose 22% to $288 million, while sales climbed 13.6% to $6.9 billion and IDs jumped 6.8%.
