Study confirms potential of lutein and zeaxanthin in eye health

DSM reports that, at the annual meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) the results from AREDS2 Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2) were presented. In summary, it reports that daily usage of eye health supplements containing 10 mg of FloraGLO Lutein and 2 mg of OPTISHARP Zeaxanthin as compared to a formula containing vitamins C, E beta-carotene and zinc and cupric oxide (referred to as the original AREDS formulation which gave a 25-30% reduction in AMD(age-related
