Mettler Toledo introduced InspireX R40LF-800 to identify shape defects in foods

According to the company, the new system has been developed to automate evaluation of loose foods such as hamburger patties, chicken nuggets and bakery products.
It can identify foreign objects such as glass, metal and bone and can also evaluate properties such as roundness of a hamburger or indentations.
The system's x-ray technology scans the product and compares with the ideal food product image. It has the ability to scan up to six product lanes at once. If a defective product is identified,
