FSA suspends operations of Farmbox Meats over safety concerns

The business is entitled to appeal this decision, therefore the FSA cannot provide further details at this stage, the spokesman added.

Farmbox Meats of Aberystwyth, mid Wales was one of the first two facilities to be raided in the UK over claims that it has sold horsemeat labeled as beef and the FSA has suspended the operations at the plant in February. In March, the company was allowed to re-open and FSA then warned Farmbox Meats that it would withdraw approval if the business fails to comply
