Switzerland-based dairy processor Emmi has agreed to acquire Kserei Studer, a cheese producer based in Amriswil, eastern Switzerland, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition is part of Emmi's strategy to strengthen its position as a leading provider of Swiss cheese in Switzerland and internationally. The deal is expected to allow Emmi to expand its offering in the speciality cheese segment.
The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities.
