We have demonstrated mangiferin accumulation in seven African Coffea taxa: C. anthonyi, C. arabica, C. eugenioides, C. heterocalyx cf., C. pseudozanguebariae, C. salvatrix and C. sessiliflora, said the authors.

Previously the presence of mangiferin had only been detected in a single species.
