Finger Lakes Distilling to install new still to expand production

Finger Lakes Distilling, a New York State Farm Distillery that produces distilled spirits in small batches, is to install a new still at the facility in April or May 2013 to expand its production capacity by four times.

The new still is designed to avoid dumping of stillage or the mash left after fermentation. This allows the still to operate continuously without recharge for subsequent runs.

The distillery already has a 4,000 pound 350gal pot still made by Holstein in Markdorf, Germany, which
