Cherimoya exports to EU countries down by 15%

Shipments of this fruit, grown in the coast of Granada and Malaga, Spain, have fallen by 15% during the first five months of the 2012/2013 season compared to the same period last year.

According to data provided by the Centre for Technical Assistance and Inspection of Foreign Trade (Soivre-Granada), Granada's firms exported 1.38 million kilos up until January, compared to the 1.6 million from the same period last year, which means a 15% fall.
