Tesco recalls own brand frozen meatloaf over horsemeat contamination

UK-based supermarket chain Tesco has recalled a line of its own brand frozen meat loaf after tests revealed that the product contained 2% to 5% horsemeat.

The frozen meatloaf is labelled as Simply Roast Meatloaf. It was manufactured by Eurostock Foods, a family-owned firm based in Northern Ireland, UK.

The product tested was manufactured between October 2012 and January 2013 at Eurostock in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. The tests on 15 other lines from the same manufacturing site were clear of
