Butter, cheese, fruit, vegetable, poultry and total red meat stocks on Jan. 31, 2013, were higher than year-earlier levels, but egg stocks were lower, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in its latest Cold Storage report.
Frozen turkey stocks totaled 361,842,000 lbs, up 22% from both December 2012 and January 2012, the U.S.D.A. said. Total chicken stocks were 657,676,000 lbs, down 3% from December but up 8% from January 2012. Total frozen poultry stocks were 1,020,962,000 lbs, up 5% from De
