Wine exports from the US increased by 2.6% to $1.43bn in 2012 compared to the revenues of $1.39bn generated in 2011, according to California-based advocacy and public policy association Wine Institute.
The increase in revenues was led by California, which accounted for 90% of wine exports.
The total volume of wines shipped in 2012 reached 426.6 million liters, down by 4.94% from 446 million liters in 2011.
Among the major markets for California wines, European Union member countries, Canada,
