Allergen concerns prompt pork roll recall

FSIS personnel discovered the problem during label verification procedures at the facility, according to the agency. Baking powder used to make the products contains wheat, but was not listed on the final label. The products were shipped to retail establishments in Oakland, Calif.; Denver; Chicago; Dorchester, Mass.; and Minneapolis.

FSIS said the problem may have occurred because the company switched to a new ingredient supplier in September 2011. The agency has not received any reports of ill
