The products were produced through Jan. 18, 2013 and distributed and sold to institutions and retail stores in the El Paso, Texas area.
The problem was discovered by FSIS in-plant personnel during a routine label review. An FSIS inspector determined that soy was a subcomponent of the textured vegetable protein ingredient in the green chicken tamale product but not declared on the label
