Dean Foods Co. has launched a reformulation of TruMoo chocolate milk with 40% less added sugar.
The new formula derives its sweetness from lactose, chocolate flavoring and added natural sucrose. The chocolate milk contains no high-fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors, sweeteners, colors or preservatives, the company said.
The product is available in low-fat and fat-free varieties at retailers and in schools nationwide.
