At the moment there is a considerable shortage of Peruvian asparagus. Several importers are frustrated due to little or no supply. This is mainly due to the warm weather in Peru. The market is waiting for Mexico, but the volumes are later than last year. According to a Dutch trader they will only be available in two weeks time.
