Bolthouse Farms, a US-based producer of juices, smoothies, protein shakes and cafe beverages, has opened a $5m Innovation Center at the company's headquarters in Bakersfield, California on 16 January 2013.
The Innovation Center is expected to accelerate new product development and enhance the company's portfolio of beverages, salad dressings and fresh carrots.
The 17,900ft facility, which houses several test kitchens and a sensory center, is currently staffed with 40 employees.
