Lacassine-based Louisiana Spirits has released the brand name - Bayou Rum - for its upcoming rum that is expected to hit shelves by early June 2013.
Located along I-10 South Frontage Road at exit 48, the new distillery, which is nearing completion, has also named Republic National Distributing as Bayou Rum's sole distribution partner in Louisiana.
The craft distillery is currently building two expressions of Bayou Rum - Silver Bayou Rum and Spiced Bayou Rum - that are made from local Louisiana
