US soybeans dip on hopes of bumper South American supplies

US soybean futures edged lower on Tuesday, easing for five out of six sessions as expectations of near-record South American production continued to pressure the market.

Corn, which has been trading near its lowest in six months, was also nearly flat, with investors reluctant to take big positions ahead of a US Agriculture Department supply-demand report on Friday.
