The largest meat producer in Russia, ABH Miratog, is pursuing an aggressive plan to double production of marbled beef, according to a report in GlobalMeatNews.com.
Currently the countrys top pork producer, the company is hoping that a new investment of $617 million will help it capture 5 percent of Russias beef market. In 2011 it invested $682 million in the project.
