Vitamin A prevents cervical cancer

Taking vitamin A supplements or eating vitamin A rich foodsmay help prevent cervical cancer, according to a review study in Gynecologic Oncology.

X. Zhang from School of Public Health, Shandong University in Shandong, PR China and colleagues metaanalyzeddata from previous studies and found those who had a high intake of vitamin A or maintained ahigh serum level of vitamin A had their risk for cervical cancer reduced by 40%.
