Processing Training Adds Value to Seafood

The Ministry of Aquaculture and Fisheries through the Vice Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture and OFCF-Japan, set in motion a project to build a processing plant for seafood in the fishing port of San Mateo, Manta Canton.

The Undersecretary of Fisheries, Jimmy Martinez Ortiz, said that with the construction of infrastructure, it is suggested that women are trained and able to add value to or other fishery products such as shrimp ointment , dorado, bonito, hake, squid and more.
