Jensen Farms files for bankruptcy over Listeria outbreak

The company, which listed $2.1m in assets and more than $2.5m in liabilities in documents, filed in US Bankruptcy Court in Denver, and noted that it has taken this step after several wrongful death lawsuits were filed against it following the outbreak.

Last year, the Listeria outbreak spread through 28 US states, affecting 146 people.
