John Lewis posts 26.5% increase in Christmas sales

UK-based department store chain John Lewis reported a 26.5% increase in revenues to 157.8m for the Christmas week as compared to corresponding period of 2011.

Against the run of play due to the current UK slowdown the chain has posted best revenue numbers for the week, besides drawing huge crowds to its stores for Boxing Day shopping, reported Guardian.
